DESCRIPTION

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced Design Engineers to undertake road and stormwater design at either Sydney metro or regional Councils in NSW.

Candidates must be proficient in the use of Autocad and Civilcad and be able to work independently. Previous experience in a Local Government environment would be preferred.

You will need:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Working within financial and time constraint
• Experience in complying with a quality management system for civil engineering designs
• Experience in the preparation of civil estimating
• Class C Drivers Licence
• Detailed knowledge of Civilcad, Autocad and any other associated software necessary for the production of civil road designs
• Detailed knowledge in MS Project, Excel & word
• Detailed knowledge and experience of designing civil infrastructure within the constraints of an urban environment

It will also help if you have:

• Extensive post qualifications in the design of roads, civil infrastructure projects, stormwater drainage, detention and retention design streetscape design, traffic facilities and other civil engineering projects
• Knowledge of Australian Rainfall & Runoff Hands on design from concept through to detailed design documentation
• Technical investigation, reporting and presentation of reports
• Knowledge of 9001:2000 quality system and quality assurance principles as they relate to civil design and civil engineering design practice Knowledge of Roads Acts, Roads & Traffic Authority and Austroads Design Standards and Practices
