DESCRIPTION
This short term contract role is to commence immediately. Applicants will need to have the following skills and experience to be considered for this vacancy:
- Working knowledge of the Local Govt. Act 1995
- Previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 5 years is highly desirable)
- A tertiary qualification in Purchasing & Supply Management, or significant progression towards the completion of a degree
- A high level of computer literacy
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to lead and manage a small team effectively
REQUIREMENTS
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of the City's purchasing functions and purchasing staff
- Assessment of Creditor expenditure to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, acts and regulations
- Management of Tenders - including review of tender specifications, review and approval of tender documentation, coordination of the City's electronic tender register, maintenance of the contracts register
- Oversight of the City's Operations Centre store - including coordination of stock reconciliation and quarterly stocktakes
